Guided by our founder, guests used a selection of artisanal hand tools and techniques to transform a cylinder-block of wood into a small salt bowl, and a short length of wood into an accompanying spoon.

 

After attentively whittling, gouging and more, they created and buffed on a campfire-melted beeswax and mineral oil finishing polish, creating a handmade item to be proud of.

 

What was included:

~ Use of wood carving tools & materials (wooden cylinder, wooden length, pencil & compass, large & small gouge/chisel, mallet, whittling knife, finishing oil)

~ Campfire

~ Refreshments (organic/local/seasonal drinks & snacks)
